On June 10, 2014, Dr. Steven Rosen was awarded the R.A. Koetting Memorial Award for Lifetime Achievement by the St. Louis Optometric Society (SLOS) at their annual banquet. The banquet was held this year at Busch Stadium. Some of the Dr. Steve's accomplishments earning him the award include 35 years practice in the St. Louis area, past-President of SLOS, SLOS Optometrist of the Year for 2008, past examiner of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, and 19 international eye care missions to developing countries for the OneSight Foundation.
The St. Louis Optometric Society exists to promote eye care and eye health in the St. Louis region and also provides business support and advanced continuing education to eye doctors in the area. Dr. Koetting was a St. Louis optometrist who achieved national and international prominence in the fields of contact lenses and practice management. He was very active in SLOS for many years.
